The following "Papillons" were surrendered to either PCA Rescue or private rescuers. They all had AKC registration papers listing them as Papillons. If you are thinking of purchasing a Papillon in a pet store, please read their stories.

Jigs was purchased from a pet store, as a gift, when she was 8 weeks old. When she was approximately 7 months old and 27 pounds, she was surrendered to PCA Rescue by her owner because she was moving out of state and all her dogs had to go.

Jigs was placed with a Border Collie lover via referral from a Pap owner who also has BCs

Lucy came from a puppy mill where she likely whelped several litters of "Papillons" before her surrender to PCA Rescue.

Dusty Bear was surrendered by his owner to a private rescuer due to a lifestyle change and the fact that he was not housebroken. Dusty was bred by a "backyard breeder" and has several Champion Papillons in his AKC Pedigree.
